Each layer has a specific function and works independently from the others. Thanks to this layering system, you can decide which combination best suits the weather, your activity, and your personal comfort. This makes the clothing not only functional, but also flexible and durable.
Baselayer: Regulates temperature and absorbs odors

The bottom layer should be one thing above all: comfortable and pleasant on the skin. But there’s something else that matters too: it should regulate your body temperature and keep you from smelling bad—even when you start to sweat. Merino wool offers exactly these qualities: it regulates temperature, neutralizes odors, and is an ideal base layer material. For our Penguin Merino shirts and leggings, we blend Merino fibers with synthetic fibers to ensure maximum shape retention and durability. Midlayer: Insulates and protects you from the cold.

The midlayer ensures you stay warm on cold winter days without shivering. For optimal thermal insulation, we use materials that are both insulating and breathable, as well as quick-drying. For extremely cold temperatures, we recommend the Fiberball insulation jacket or vest, which keeps you extra warm thanks to its innovative tube system and woven insulation chambers, while remaining super lightweight. The Pinneco® insulated jacket and shorts provide warmth with maximum freedom of movement and breathability. Eco-engineered, they are free from harmful chemicals and 100% recyclable. Our shell jackets and pants withstand any weather, providing ultimate waterproofing and breathability. The Dermizax® membrane has a water column rating of over 20,000 mm, so rain and snow simply bead off. At the same time, it wicks moisture away from your body, keeping you dry inside and out.

The Merino knit beanie and versatile Merino bandana, which can be worn as a scarf, mask, or headband, provide protection against wind and cold. Penguin’s powderwear features a relaxed fit that won’t restrict you, giving you maximum freedom of movement no matter what you’re doing. Most of our products also contain a high stretch content, making them extremely comfortable to wear without any pinching or tight spots.
