Detailed description
The base layer should above all be comfortable and odor-resistant. Our Merino long-sleeve base layer is made from 79% soft Merino wool. The material used is extremely lightweight and therefore very comfortable to wear. A special nylon core (21%) gives the yarn excellent elasticity, while also reinforcing the fabric to make it more durable.
We use ultra-fine 17.5-micron Merino wool from the South Island of New Zealand for all our Merino products. This wool comes from ethically raised, mulesing-free sheep. It is spun into a unique yarn featuring a stretchable nylon core (Nuyarn® Technology). Nuyarn makes our products loftier (+35%), stronger (+50%), and warmer (+35%) than fabrics made from 100% Merino wool. In addition, our garments dry much faster. The nylon core further enhances the stability of our products, contributing to their long-lasting quality and sustainability.

Merino is a special type of wool that naturally cleans itself. For this reason, Merino products need to be washed much less frequently and can simply be refreshed by hanging them in the air overnight. If the garments do need to go in the washing machine, they should always be turned inside out to reduce pilling. We recommend washing them cold or at a maximum of 40 °C to minimize shrinkage. Since wool is a natural fiber, it tends to shrink more during the first wash compared to synthetic fabrics. Tip: Soak the garment in cold water for about 12–24 hours before the first machine wash. Use the gentlest spin cycle possible in the machine. Regular liquid or powder detergents are fine — do not use wool detergent, fabric softeners, or bleach. Wash products sorted by color. Do not tumble dry; let them air dry in the shade.
