Women Only Freeride Day @ FreerideTestival Hochfügen Zillertal

A full dose of girl power and tons of fun.

Add to calendar:

Step in, skin up, ride the lines – right in the beating heart of the FreerideTestival.

Our Freetouring Tour is part of this unique event weekend and combines a true backcountry experience with the special atmosphere of the festival.

Together with our guides, we head out of the ski resort and into rewarding descents. The focus is clearly on smart freeriding: making good decisions, choosing clever lines, and having maximum fun in the terrain. Everything related to safety, avalanche conditions, and technique is taught hands-on and exactly when it matters out there — not a seminar, but real learning in the flow.

You’ll get tips and tricks on ski technique and avalanche transceiver handling for a full dose of girl power, plus plenty of fun and safety in the backcountry. Recommended for freeride beginners

What to expect

  • Ski technique training for enjoyable descents on — but especially off — the piste.
  • Avalanche Safety Basics and Beacon Training
  • Analysis of the Avalanche Bulletin and Practical Application in the Field

Requirements

  • Confident skiing on all groomed runs (red and black), plus initial off-piste experience
  • Freeride or ski touring gear
  • Safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe & shovel, mobile phone, helmet)

The FreerideTestival – more than just skiing

Throughout the entire event weekend, you can test the latest freeride equipment from leading brands free of charge – much of it already from next season. From skis and snowboards to helmets, backpacks, and avalanche safety gear: you try the newest setups exactly where they belong – out in the terrain.

In addition, workshops, safety sessions, and side events ensure that everyone from first-timers to experienced riders gets their money’s worth. After a full day in the mountains, the legendary afterhour awaits with music, drinks, and freeride talks – the perfect place to wind down together and share stories from the day.
